Whether you’re new to AI or a seasoned pro, the information packed in the AI Associate and Specialist track is enough to keep you busy learning the new lingo for the new workforce. From virtual workshops to in-person courses, Salesforce is opening the floodgates of knowledge, and the best part? It’s all FREE.
Why is Salesforce Offering Free AI Certifications?

In fact, they are building the future CRM platform focusing in on AI, and they want to make sure everyone has access to the tools and training needed to succeed. By offering these free certifications, Salesforce is lowing the barrier to up-skilling—helping the ecosystem become future-ready.
Your AI Learning Journey: Workshops, Instructor-Led Courses, and Certifications
So here’s the deal. Starting November 2024, Salesforce will roll out virtual hands-on workshops that will give you the skills to tackle real-world AI solutions in your org. Whether you’re looking to build your first Einstein Copilot or explore the power of Agentforce, these workshops are going to cover it all. AI Force Training has been teaching trailblazers how to use AI inside a Flow since the beginning of the generative AI revolution. We know what it takes to get up to speed, and workshops like these can’t be beat!
Here’s a sneak peek of the workshops you’ll have access to from Salesforce:

Important Workshop Details
You can redeem these workshops only once per person, and they are available only until December 31, 2025. The workshops are open to adults 18+ (sorry, no government personnel can participate). Make sure to check with your employer to ensure you can take advantage of this amazing opportunity!.
Instructor-Led AI Courses
But wait, there’s more! In-person, instructor-led courses are also part of the deal. Starting in late 2024, Salesforce will host these courses at their AI centers located in San Francisco and London, with more locations opening around the world soon. Once a quarter, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a 3-day course that teaches you how to use out-of-the-box Salesforce AI products like Agentforce. These sessions will offer an incredible way to immerse yourself in AI.
And yes, these in-person courses are FREE too! The catch? You have to cover your own travel and accommodation costs. This would be a good time for forward this article to your employer and ask for them to cover travel for you to attend!
AI Certifications—For Free!
Looking to get certified? Starting September 23, 2024, Salesforce is offering two AI certifications:
- AI Associate
- AI Specialist
These certifications will remain free through December 31, 2025. And if you’ve already signed up for one of these exams after September 23, 2024, don’t worry—Salesforce has you covered. They’ll refund your registration fee!
Okay there is one major downside we need to talk about. Just because you’re getting all this for free doesn’t mean you can slack off when it comes to learning the material. Why? The exams aren’t free for retakes! The prices for retakes are: $50 for the AI Associate exam and $100 for the AI Specialist exam. If you want to be well prepared for your AI Associate exam, be sure to take advantage of the AI Force Training program!

Salesforce’s Trailhead platform offers an array of self-paced resources to help you along your journey. Whether you want to follow a full Trail or focus on specific modules, Trailhead has you covered. It’s the perfect way to build your skills on your own schedule and at your own pace.
